Postdoctoral Position in Vectored Vaccine Group
A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Vectored Vaccine Group led by Dr. Suresh Tikoo for an ongoing project to work on the molecular biology of animal adenoviruses with emphasis on their development as vectors for vaccine delivery and human gene therapy. Candidates should have a Ph.D. with a strong background in molecular biology. Experience with molecular techniques in virology and virus vectoring is desirable.
The Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO) is a research institute at the University of Saskatchewan. VIDO’s research activities are focused on multidisciplinary approaches to the control of infectious diseases in animals and humans through the development of novel vaccines and therapeutics, and methods for their use. The Organization provides a stimulating collaborative environment in a variety of disciplines, including molecular microbiology, immunology, genomics and proteomics, cell biology and clinical research. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a team-based research environment.
